EP. 40: USC Shoah Foundation exec. director Stephen D. Smith, how do you run a nonprofit and share stories from Holocaust survivors?
Stephen D. Smith, PhD, is an Adjunct Professor of Religion at the University of Southern California and the Executive Director of the USC Shoah Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to making audio-visual interviews with survivors and witnesses of the Holocaust and other genocides a compelling voice for education and action. He also holds the UNESCO Chair on Genocide Education. Stephen founded the UK Holocaust Centre in Nottinghamshire, England and co-founded the Aegis Trust for the prevention of crimes against humanity and genocide. In recognition of his work, Stephen has become a member of the Order of the British Empire and received the Interfaith Gold Medallion.
